Shade Black offers full-service interior design from concept to completion. I specialize in upscale residential design and have experience in hospitality design, new construction design, remodel design, interior styling, and project management. I have clients that span throughout the greater Sacramento + Bay Areas. I am happy to travel across Northern California and further, including the Bay area, Lake Tahoe, Modesto, and many more. My services include everything from an hourly consultation, furnishing and styling a room or two, remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, to an entire new build. I manage your project from the construction and planning phase, all the way through furnishing and styling. Shade Black has long standing relationships with many trusted vendors and contractors I work with on a regular basis that are talented, professional, and produce high quality work and products.
My love for beautifully designed spaces and unique furniture pieces give me a design perspective that allows me to create a design that is fresh, yet timeless. I believe in creating a space that combines function and comfort with an aesthetically alluring design on any budget. My clients’ satisfaction is the top priority and I work hard to provide a creative and stressless design process.

Full Service
The full service option takes you from concept to completion. I take a hands-on approach to design and lead you every step of the way. Whether it’s a remodel, new construction, or furnishing and styling an entire room or home, I will be there for the entire process down to the last details. This includes space planning and floorplan drawings, all material and finish selections, contractor and tradesmen referrals, to-the-trade resources, construction and project management, and styling.
edesign
EDesign is perfect for those clients who don’t live close snd/or those who want the benefits of a designer without committing to a full service interior design project. EDesign can offer quick design solutions that allow you to purchase items at your own pace. This option is done completely by virtual communication. I will provide you with 2 floor plan options, a design board that will show all selections for your space, including 2 revisions, and a shopping list so you can purchase each product directly. You also have the option of adding on renderings of your space for an additional cost. Then you can get started on putting together your space as time and budget allows.
Consultation
The consultation option is a great resource for clients who aren’t looking to remodel an entire space but still would like a little (designer) hand. Maybe you are just looking to change up paint color or you need a professional eye to look at all the finishes you’ve selected for your project to make sure they flow, I have you covered. The consultation is your go-to for design advice, styling questions, and paint and color consultations. We start with 2 hours and can build on from there if you want more time.
